At 4:00 a.m. today, Typhoon "LAWIN" was located based on satellite and surface data at 585 km East of Baler, Aurora (15.5°N, 127.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 11 kph.
